Eudunda

Whilst on a road trip in the Murray Mallee to explore the remains of the old Eudunda/Morgan railway for the absent history section of Mallee Routes I free camped overnight at Eudunda in South Australia. The reason for swagging overnight here is that I wanted to photograph this industrial scene in the late afternoon light. (On this occasion I used a medium format camera and Fujifilm Provia 100F  120 film).

silos + water tower, Eudunda

This is a kind of re-photography as I’d previously photographed these silos and the water tower in black and white in the 1990s. This time I wanted a colour version of this particular aspect of railway history from the early twentieth century for Mallee Routes. Eudunda was a railway transport hub in the early twentieth century and the western edge of the Murray Mallee.
