I have recently been going through my 2017 digital archives on the (10 year old and now very slow) iMac.I really need to upgrade the computer. I’ve been posting the odd image (of Tasmania and New Zealand) to Flickr. Though I’d given up posting my pictures on Flickr for a few years I had kept my account. I’d forgotten all about Flickr whilst I was working on the Mallee Routes project.

Whilst going through the archives I came cross this image of the Victorian Wimmera, which from memory, was located somewhere between Birchip and Donald. The picture was made on the same day as the image in the reflecting on photography post, which was based on my wandering around the Birchip township.

I went back to look for this particular location before, and then just after, Covid, as I’d wanted to re-photograph it with a large format camera (the 5×4 Linhof Technika IV). But I could not find this particular site.
