Gary’s b+w gallery

I started making the odd black and white photo  during   the collaborative phase of the Mallee Routes project–2017-2019. Towards the end of  the  project’s collaborative phase, when I started my solo photo camps, I  made more black and white photos as I became conscious that some images worked better in black and white.   I also wanted to link  the contemporary photos back to the black and white photos that I had made in the 1980s. These are the   first three  black and white images in the gallery, plus the featured image.   The cameras used are  primarily  medium and large format (5×7 and 5×4).
